This book is an important book because it teaches children that they can make friends no matter what they are like. If they are boring (which no child is) but if they feel they are just unlikable or unimportant, they can learn that they are! Children can learn with Jerry as he discovers to truly just be himself. And that goes for everyone...just be you!
