About the Book

Make A Splash is about a wise old frog (Grandma) giving good advice about the fact that it's okay to have fun, show off, be different and strut your stuff with a wiggle and a giggle and a sway. Each page has a colorful playful line with a deeper truth that can be discussed and enjoyed by the youngest to the oldest readers. The colorful, abstract style illustrations encourage the awareness of color, line, shape, art and difference in a playful way.

I am a full time artist...selling and donating my work in Minnesota galleries. I have written a few unpublished works for motivational workshops, and I can't count how many self-help books that I have read. Dr. Wayne Dyer (I am sorry he is no longer with us) is one of my favorite authors, his books have helped me in my life's journey when I needed it most! In 1994 I graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a BFA in art education. After substitute teaching for 10 years, I decided to become a full time artist and grandmother. It is very GRAND to be a grandmother, and my four grandchildren inspired me to write this book.
