About the Book

Preface

I am grateful to my parents, who are in heaven, for their love and teaching, for their giving me the capability to learn and the talent to write.

I am also grateful to all American Christian friends and professors, especially Dr. Passaro Jr. at UCLA, who all helped to bring me over to the U.S.A.

Now, as a citizen of the USA, I enjoy fully the freedom to write what I could not have done in Communist China.

Also, many thanks to my dear wife professor Elizabeth Wang, for her efforts and encouragement, without which the publishing of this book is impossible.

This book is a work of facts, all based on my own experiences. References to historical events, real people (some names have been changed in order to avoid misunderstanding), living or dead, or real locations are true. If any names, characters, places and incidents bear any resemblance to any irrelevant real-life counterparts, they are merely coincidental and the author is not responsible for them.
